Who we are
Muscle-Vitality is written and maintained by the Muscle Vitality Editorial Team, a small in-house editorial group working for the site operator, Avante System. We are researchers and writers specialising in consumer nutrition content, not clinicians. Nothing published here is written in the capacity of a medical professional, and nothing here should be read as personal medical advice.
We state this plainly rather than implying clinical credentials we do not hold. Where a claim requires clinical expertise, we either attribute it to published research or to the manufacturer’s own materials, and we say which.
Areas of responsibility
- Research and writing — reading the nutrition literature relevant to a topic and translating it into plain English for readers 50 and over.
- Label analysis — reading Supplement Facts panels line by line and comparing them against the marketing claims made for the same product.
- Compliance review — checking every page against our claims standard before publication, so no page states or implies that a supplement diagnoses, treats, cures or prevents disease.
- Maintenance — re-checking published pages on the schedule described in our update policy.
Our content review process
- Research. Background reading on the topic, prioritising peer-reviewed literature and public regulatory guidance over marketing material.
- Drafting. A writer produces the draft and records the source behind each factual statement.
- Label and fact check. A second team member verifies product details against the current Supplement Facts panel and retailer page, including price, serving size and refund terms.
- Claims and compliance pass. Every sentence is checked for absolute claims, guaranteed outcomes, disease references and undisclosed commercial relationships. Risky wording is rewritten in neutral, evidence-based language.
- Publication with a review date. The page is published carrying the date it was last reviewed.
- Scheduled re-review. At least every six months, and immediately when a product changes.
This page and the policies it links to were last reviewed on August 1, 2026.
How we use scientific references
We reference published research to give general context about nutrition and ageing — for example the literature on age-related muscle loss and on how efficiently older adults use dietary protein. Referencing a study never means the study tested the product discussed on the same page. Research on a nutrient is not evidence about a specific commercial formula, and we do not present it as such.
Author attribution
Articles are attributed to the Muscle Vitality Editorial Team rather than to individual bylines, because every page passes through the multi-step process above rather than being the work of one person. Editorial responsibility for all content rests with the site operator disclosed in the footer of every page.
