Purpose of this page
Muscle-Vitality publishes educational articles and product reviews about muscle health and nutrition for adults 50 and over. This page documents exactly how products are selected, how they are evaluated, how our affiliate relationships work, and what we will and will not say. Any phrase on this website such as “Editor’s Choice” or “we reviewed” refers to the process described here.
How products are selected for review
We shortlist products in a category by three filters, applied before any commercial consideration:
- The product is sold to consumers in the United States, Canada or Puerto Rico.
- A complete Supplement Facts panel is publicly available before purchase, so the formula can be read in full.
- The manufacturer publishes identifiable company information and a stated refund policy.
Products that fail any of these filters are not reviewed, regardless of whether an affiliate program exists for them.
Editorial criteria and scoring methodology
Each shortlisted product is scored from 0 to 10 on the eight criteria below. The weighted total produces the editorial score. Scoring is qualitative and editorial in nature: it reflects documented, verifiable attributes of the product and its published materials, not laboratory testing performed by us. We do not run our own chemical analysis, and we do not claim to.
| Criterion | Weight | What we look at |
|---|---|---|
| Ingredient transparency | 20% | Every active ingredient must be named individually with its amount per serving. Proprietary blends that hide amounts lose points. |
| Scientific evidence | 20% | We check whether the ingredient category is discussed in peer-reviewed nutrition literature, and whether the product's own materials stay within what that literature supports. |
| Label accuracy | 15% | Marketing copy is compared against the Supplement Facts panel. Claims on the sales page that the label does not support reduce the score. |
| Manufacturing standards | 10% | Where the product is manufactured, whether the facility is described as GMP-certified, and whether the manufacturer publishes that information. |
| Refund policy | 10% | Length of the satisfaction window, clarity of the conditions, and whether the terms are published before checkout. |
| Value per serving | 10% | Cost per daily serving compared with other products supplying a comparable ingredient profile. |
| Third-party certifications | 5% | Independent testing, allergen or non-GMO certifications, when the manufacturer documents them. We do not assume a certification that is not published. |
| Public reputation | 10% | Recurring themes across publicly available customer feedback, company history and how complaints are handled. We summarise themes; we do not republish individual reviews as if we verified them. |
A product is described on this site as meeting our criteria only when it scores at least 7 out of 10 on ingredient transparency and label accuracy, since those two determine whether a reader can verify everything else for themselves.
What “Editor’s Choice” means
“Editor’s Choice” means one thing only: among the products we reviewed in that category, this one scored highest against the published criteria above. It is an editorial opinion about a product’s documentation, formulation logic and value. It is not a statement that the product will work for you, not a medical recommendation, and not a claim of superiority over products we did not review.
Affiliate relationship
Muscle-Vitality earns revenue through affiliate commissions. When a reader follows a purchase link on this site and buys from the external retailer, we may receive a commission at no additional cost to the reader. We do not manufacture, own, sell, ship or process payment for any supplement. Pricing, availability, shipping, refunds and customer service are controlled entirely by the retailer.
Affiliate links are disclosed at the top of every page, in the footer, and again next to the purchase links themselves. See our Affiliate Disclosure for the full statement.
Independence policy
- Commission rates are never an input to the scoring model described above.
- No manufacturer, retailer or affiliate network reviews, approves or edits our content before publication.
- We accept no payment for a favourable review, ranking position, or inclusion in a comparison.
- We publish the criteria a product failed as readily as the criteria it met, including a “who this is not for” section in every product review.
Conflict of interest policy
Contributors must disclose to the editorial team any financial interest, employment, consulting arrangement or family relationship involving a brand under review. Where such a relationship exists, that contributor does not score or edit content about the brand. This website is owned and operated by a single legal entity, disclosed in full in the footer and on our About Us page; there are no undisclosed corporate relationships with any supplement manufacturer.
Claims standard
Dietary supplements are not medicines. On this site we do not state or imply that a product diagnoses, treats, cures or prevents any disease, we do not promise a specific outcome or timeframe, and we do not present manufacturer marketing as independent fact. Statements taken from a manufacturer are labelled as such. Statements about nutrition science are written as general education, and readers are directed to a qualified healthcare professional for individual advice. See our medical disclaimer.
Customer feedback standard
We do not publish testimonials, quotes, names, photographs or star ratings attributed to individual customers, because we cannot independently verify them. Where readers benefit from knowing what buyers commonly say, we publish summarised themes identified across publicly available customer feedback, clearly labelled as themes rather than verified statements, and always alongside a note that individual results vary.
Update and correction policy
Every review carries a “last reviewed” date. We re-check each published review at least every six months, and sooner when a formula, label, price or refund policy changes. Material corrections are made in place and the review date is updated. If you believe something on this site is inaccurate or out of date, email contato@avantesystem.com.br and we will review it — see our Contact page for expected response times.
